European and Global Study (in English)

This multidisciplinary undergraduate program combines the knowledge, skills and competencies that are focused on external policies of the European Union and the global problems of the modern world. In the first year, after intensive training in English or German language students study: Geography and socio-cultural environment of the English-speaking world, Computer-based research skills. In subsequent years, the training is focused on International Relations and International Organizations; European Integration, Contemporary Globalization Process, Europe in the World; International Economics, International Trade; Management; Project Management; Intercultural Communication, International Negotiations, Chinese Language and Culture and more.​

Entry requirements:
1) Two grades from your high school diploma: in a foreign language, and in Bulgarian language;
2) The grade from your entry exam in English language.

Professional Field 3.7. Administration and Management

Business Management Video

Graduates acquire knowledge and skills to: develop strategies for business development, innovation policy, forecasts and plans; building and implementing effective governance structures and technologies; methods and techniques for making business decisions; organize, coordinate and motivate staff; control, analysis and regulation of the business; operating business software and management information systems. They acquire professional qualification "business manager" and can work as managers at all levels in departments or as specialists in marketing, supply chain management, stock exchanges, such as business references on companies, regardless of size and the subject of their work.​

Public Administration

This program prepares highly qualified specialists and managers for the public sector and local government in compliance with European standards. Students acquire knowledge in management and information technology, management of regional development, European experience in implementing the principles and methods of the modern organization of the government, the development of statutes, regulations and rules to improve the management of public sector organizations, management of projects and programs EU Funds and others.​

Students develop skills for creative interpretation and strict implementation of national and European legislation, trained specialists are well accepted as professionals in directorates, departments, sectors and units of state and local administration as managers, professionals, employees and consultants.

Professional Field ​3.8. Economics​

Marketing

Students acquire a solid economic training, knowledge and skills about: methodologies, procedures and types of marketing; organized markets; development of marketing strategies and development plans; adapting the most effective for the industrial business marketing concept; the use of modern methods and techniques of market research and analysis; development and formation of new needs through advertising methods to boost sales and others. Graduates acquire professional qualification "Economist" and can work with companies from the private and public sector as advisors, experts and consultants.​

Economics

Bachelor's program provides knowledge, skills and competencies in basic and functional economic subjects for the needs of business practice, public administration and the third sector. By the fifth semester including disciplines are the same as in the Marketing and International Economic Relations. The differences are in the strengthening of fundamental and functional disciplines as a general theory, finance, credit, insurance, accounting, ecology, economic policy. Graduates with a bachelor qualification in economics can work in the business - organizations, government institutions, non-profit organizations, i.e. to be successful in all sectors of the economy at every level - corporate, regional, national, and international​. Bachelors who graduated this specialty can complete any Master's degree in economics and management.​

Professional Field 5.13. General Engineering

Industrial Management

The training provides comprehensive knowledge, skills and competencies in the following areas: economics, law, marketing, finance and accounting, business planning and design, management, production, innovation and staff, quality systems, logistics management, information technology, enhanced language training and optional: engineering technology with an emphasis on engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering. Graduates acquire professional qualification "engineer-manager." They can work successfully as: managers of small and medium-sized companies, production managers, staff in the departments for lending and evaluation of assets in the banking and insurance sectors, public administration, consulting and engineering firms.​​

Professional Field 9.1. National Security​

Euro-Atlantic and Global Security​

Bachelor program develops competencies in international cooperation on security sector structures to the Ministry of Interior, Foreign Affairs, National Security Agency, the National Intelligence Service. Students can apply to: (1) analytical work and decision-making with regard to external risks to Euro-Atlantic security; (2) communication and coordination work on establishing and maintaining relationships with international partners on security issues. Students can comprehend​ the complex interdependence between liberty and security; security dilemma and the problem of securitization. The study includes​: International Relations; European integration and globalization; Space for freedom and security of the EU; Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU; European border security; Corporate and transnational organized crime; Concepts and strategies for security in the Euro-Atlantic space; International security organizations; Islam in Europe; Migration and minorities in Europe; Terrorism and global security; Cybersecurity; Geopolitics and security; Methods for analysis of political risks; Management of European security projects; Communication, Research and intercultural skills; intensive study of elective foreign language (Arabic language and culture, English or German) and others.
