Lecturers from the Faculty participate in international projects with colleagues from Greece, Great Britain, Russia and Italy and work under joint programmes, related to research and exchange of lecturers and students with universities from many countries such as Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium, Greece, Estonia, Israel, Spain, Canada, Cyprus, China, Kirea, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the USA, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Hungary, etc.


The Faculty participates in the organisation of different forums such as the International conference "Numerical Methods and Applications", competitions and Olympiads in mathematics, computational linguistics, computer mathematics, informatics and information technologies. Many students have been awarded in these and other competitions, and they participate in international conferences, workshops and intensive summer schools.

There are three research units with the Faculty:

- The Centre of folklore and literature "St. Dimitar Basarbovski", working in the field of folklore, ethnology, ethno linguistics, ethno semiotics and literature studies;

- Student research society "Academician Mihail Arnaudov", which regularly publishes the results from the research of its members;

- Research laboratory on the problems of higher pedagogical education, for researching the quality of the study process and aligning it to European educational standards.
