Department of Chemical, Food and Biotechnologies

The department educates students in the following professional fields:

- Chemical Technologies; - Biotechnology; - Food Technology;

The academic staff consists of highly qualified lecturers who work in the field of professional fields. They participate in scientific projects from the Scientific Research Fund of the University of Rousse and the National Research Fund. The lecturers also include students in their teams who wish to carry out scientific work. Students, under the guidance of their supervisors, present their results at conferences and scientific sessions in Bulgaria and abroad. Teachers collaborate their colleagues  from the country and abroad (Croatia, Italy, Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, etc.). They publish their research results in reputable and indexed scientific journals. They  participate in scientific forums: national and international conferences and congresses. The academic staff improves their qualification by participation in trainings for the application of innovations in education, as well as by mobility in foreign universities under various international programs (ERASMUS+ and CEEPUS).

In the department there is an annual international scientific conference in honor of the Day of National Enlighteners on November 1; a student scientific session; the celebration of the branch in May; the graduation ceremony; performances of student clubs, etc.
